A Massacre In Cote D’Ivoire – A Modern Day Rowanda In The Making

At least 1,000 Christians were slaughtered…

We are just now finding out about this and wanted to share it with you.  This happened back between February and April of 2011.

At least 1,000 Christians were slaughtered this week in at the Salesian Saint Teresa of the Child Jesus mission in Duekoue, Ivory Coast by Muslim troops loyal to Alassane Ouattara. The state-run media has been slow to report the story.

The conflict in Ivory Coast began in 2002. The country is divided between the Muslim north and Christian south.
This is a conflict that has been brewing for years.

Troops loyal to Alassane Ouattara, the Muslim opposition leader, moved south this past week. They slaughtered 1,000 civilians in Duekoue last week. The victims were mostly men who were shot as they fled the city.
Business Week reported:

Charity workers who reached Duekoue said it appeared the killings had taken place in a single day, shortly after the town fell to troops loyal to Alassane Ouattara, the man internationally-recognised as having won last year’s presidential election.

The apparent massacre came despite the presence of United Nations troops and – if confirmed – will cast a shadow over Mr Outtara’s assumption of the Ivory Coast’s presidency after a four-month battle to oust Lawrence Gbagbo, the former president who lost the November election but refused to step down.

William Hague, the Foreign Secretary, said he was “gravely concerned” by the violence and loss of life in Ivory Coast and added: “I am determined that all alleged human rights abuses… must be investigated and those responsible held to account…

…The International Committee for the Red Cross said its staff discovered more than 800 bodies of people who were clearly local civilians. They were mainly men who had been shot and left where they fell, the organisation said, either alone or in small groups dotted around the town, which lies at the heart of Ivory Coast’s economically crucial cocoa producing region.

The charity said it had been told by locals that intercommunal violence erupted soon after Mr Ouattara’s forces took control of the town on Monday. Thousands of people left their homes to escape the fighting and an estimated 40,000 sought refuge in a nearby Roman Catholic mission’s compound. The priests who operate it are running short of food, clean water and medical equipment to treat those they say arrived with gunshot wounds.

The bodies are thought to be of those who did not reach sanctuary in time. They were killed despite 200 United Nations troops operating what it said were “robust” patrols from its base on the outskirts to protect civilians in and around the church.

Caritas reported that the massacre took place in the ‘Carrefour’ quarter of town, controlled by pro-Ouattara forces, during clashes on Sunday 27 March to Tuesday 29 March.

30,000 civilians are trapped in a Catholic church compound.

On Tuesday two towns in the west, Daloa and Duekoue, fell to Mr Ouattara’s supporters after fierce gun battles.

The fighting trapped 30,000 people in a church compound in Duekoue, missionaries said. Many reportedly had gunshot wounds but could not reach hospitals on the other side of the front line.

Mr Ouattara’s supporters also captured Bondoukou in the east and were said to be advancing unimpeded south along the Ghanaian border towards Agnibilekrou. Mr Gbagbo’s camp confirmed that they had retreated, but vowed to fight back.

UPDATE: Atlas has been predicting this.

UPDATE: The Muslim troops slaughtered several hundred Catholics at at the sprawling Salesian Saint Teresa of the Child Jesus mission in Duekou.
Herald Scotland reported:

A massacre in a Roman Catholic mission compound in the heart of the Ivory Coast’s cocoa-producing region could come to be seen as a crucial moment in the West African state’s escalating civil war.

Reports are mounting of atrocities by both sides in the conflict − those loyal to head of state Laurent Gbagbo, besieged in his presidential residence in Abidjan, Ivory Coast’s commercial capital, and those who follow northern leader and president-elect Allasane Ouattara.

Events at the Italian Salesian Roman Catholic mission in Duekoue increasingly echo a notorious church massacre during the Rwandan genocide in 1994.

Early reports suggested that more than 800 people, largely from the Gbagbo-supporting Gueré tribe, were killed in a single day at the sprawling Salesian Saint Teresa of the Child Jesus mission in Duekoue, 300 miles west of Abidjan towards the Liberian border. The attackers seem to have been largely soldiers descended from Burkina Faso immigrant Muslim families loyal to Ouattara.

Late yesterday the Roman Catholic charity Caritas said more than 1000 people were massacred in Duekoue. A Caritas spokesman said Caritas workers visited the town and reported seeing a neighbourhood filled with bodies of people who had been shot and hacked to death with machetes.

The U.S. knows, but what is the U.S. doing?

Bodega Brovas – The New Faces Of Hip Hop

Three mc’s from various parts of the country went…

“Three mc’s from various parts of the country went to the same party one night, got cool and started working on music together. “

Bodegas are commonly known as independent mom and pop stores in any respectable neighborhood. You can cop candy, sandwiches and sometimes weed all from the same spot.

Musically, The Bodega Brovas are the same way….

[yframe url=’http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tJE69BJSf2A’]

Travii the 7th (the white guy) , who hails from Chicago, is the serious anti establishment MC in the crew. His unique delivery and world view keeps “The Brovas” grounded.

Keynote (the Latin guy) , hails out of Dallas and is currently a host on the #1 night show in Dallas on 97.9 The Beat. Don’t let the radio thing fool you. Key’s rhymes are just as bizarre as his on-air persona.

Last but not least there’s Headkrack (the black guy), who hails from the Bronx, NY. He is currently a co-host on the nationally syndicated Rickey Smiley Morning Show.

Collectively these three manage to cover the full spectrum of what’s missing in hip hop. Most importantly, FUN!

The Bodega Brovas have spent the better parts of the last 3 years touring the US and abroad and their debut album We Got It features production from a virtual who’s who in the world of hip hop. Their subject matter is diverse throughout the album and hits on random topics such as substance abuse “Make You Cry”, the state of music sales “Keep the Vibe”, and just having a good time ”Live it Up”.

A Senseless Hate Crime Caught On Tape In Jackson Mississippi

James Craig Anderson, a 49-year-old auto plant worker…

http://hiphopwired.files.wordpress.com/2011/08/anderson.jpg

Editor’s note: The following story contains language some readers may consider offensive.

Jackson, Mississippi (CNN) — On a recent Sunday morning just before dawn, two carloads of white teenagers drove to Jackson, Mississippi, on what the county district attorney says was a mission of hate: to find and hurt a black person.

In a parking lot on the western side of town they found their victim.

James Craig Anderson, a 49-year-old auto plant worker, was standing in a parking lot, near his car. The teens allegedly beat Anderson repeatedly, yelled racial epithets, including “White Power!” according to witnesses.

Hinds County District Attorney Robert Shuler Smith says a group of the teens then climbed into their large Ford F250 green pickup truck, floored the gas, and drove the truck right over Anderson, killing him instantly.

Mississippi officials say it was a racially motivated murder. What the gang of teens did not know was that a surveillance camera was focused on the parking lot that night, and many of the events, including the actual murder of Anderson, were captured live on videotape.

[yframe url=’http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kEyWsDNUcQI’]

CNN has exclusively obtained that surveillance tape. The group of teens that night was led by 18-year-old Deryl Dedmon, Jr., of Brandon, Mississippi, according to police and officials.

Deryl Dedmon, Jr., right, could face two life sentences in connection with the killing. John Aaron Rice, left, has been charged with simple assault.

Deryl Dedmon, Jr., right, could face two life sentences in connection with the killing. John Aaron Rice, left, has been charged with simple assault.

“This was a crime of hate. Dedmon murdered this man because he was black,” said Hinds County District Attorney Robert Shuler Smith. “The evidence will show that.”

Asked if there could be any doubt whether the intent was to actually hurt and kill a black person, Smith responded: “No doubt about it. They were going out to look for a black victim to assault, and in this case, even kill.”

Dedmon led and instigated the attack from early in the evening, he took part in the beating of Anderson, and Dedmon was also the actual driver of the Ford 250 truck that would serve as the murder weapon, according to officials.

As the teens were partying and drinking miles away from Jackson that night, in largely white Rankin County, Dedmon told friends they should leave, saying “let’s go fuck with some niggers,” according to law enforcement officials.

Then, the gang of teens climbed into Dedmon’s green truck and a white SUV Cherokee, and drove 16 miles down Interstate 20, to the western edge of Jackson, a predominantly black area.

The teens would have seen Anderson immediately as they exited the highway, as the parking lot where he was standing is just beside the exit ramp.

“This is the first business that you get to coming off the highway and so that was the first person that was out here and vulnerable,” said district attorney Smith.

On the videotape, obtained and reviewed by CNN, the group of teens is seen pulling into the parking lot, and stopping where Anderson is standing, though he is just off camera and not visible.

The teens can then be seen going back and forth between their cars and Anderson. Witnesses told law enforcement officials this is when the repeated beatings of Anderson took place.

Dedmon pummeled Anderson repeatedly as he crumpled to the street, according to officials, though this is not visible in the videotape. Finally, after the beating some of the teens left and some got into the green truck.

At this moment on the video, Anderson becomes visible, as he staggered into view and walked towards the headlights of the truck. The truck suddenly surges ahead, running over Anderson, then continuing at high speed away from the scene.

Shortly after he allegedly drove the truck over Anderson, Dedmon allegedly boasted and laughed about the killing, according to testimony given by some of the teens to detectives.

“I ran that nigger over,” Dedmon allegedly said in a phone conversation to the teens in the other car.

He repeated the racial language in subsequent conversations, according to the law enforcement officials.

“He was not remorseful he was laughing, laughing about the killing,” said district attorney Smith.

Later that morning, James Craig Anderson’s family learned their 49-year-old brother and son died in a hit and run. Only later, when witness statements were taken did they learn the real horror.

“It appears there is no doubt that this was a racially motivated killing,” said Winston Thompson, the attorney representing Anderson’s family. “The family is still in shock still in disbelief.”

Smith and officials in the Hinds County District Attorney’s office say they plan to indict Dedmon for murder and a hate crime.

Deryl Dedmon is thin, weighing a mere 130 pounds, and short — at 5 feet; he has straggly blond hair and piercing blue eyes.

The teen, just 18 years old, has been charged with murder and now faces a possible double life sentence. Calls to Deryl Dedmon’s attorney have gone unanswered.

During a bond hearing his attorney told the court he saw nothing to back up the “racial allegations.”

At Dedmon’s home, a girl who answered the door pretended not to know him though the pick-up truck he allegedly used as a murder weapon sticks out of the family’s garage.

Police say they returned it after the vehicle was processed. A second teen, 18-year-old John Aaron Rice, has been charged with simple assault, for his part in the beating his attorney also did not return calls.

Neither teen has entered a plea.

The other teens in the group have not been charged.

And James Craig Anderson’s family has decided to remain silent for now, trying to come to grips with a crime they thought was in Mississippi’s past: the murder of a man just because he was black.

The UK Riots: Just Revolution Or Just Revolting?

The worst unrest in London in decades saw…

LONDON (AP) — Violence and looting spread to new areas of London on Monday — and to a second major British city — as police and politicians struggled to contain the disorder during a third day of rioting in the capital, which will host next summer’s Olympic Games.

The worst unrest in London in decades saw buildings, cars and garbage dumbs set ablaze and police officers pelted with bottles and fireworks, as groups of young people and police clashed in neighborhoods across the capital.

In the nation’s central city of Birmingham, dozens of people attacked stores in a main retail district — spreading the chaos beyond London for the first time since violence broke out on Saturday night.

As authorities struggled to keep pace with the unrest, Prime Minister David Cameron’s office said he would cut short his summer vacation and convene a meeting of the government’s crisis committee on Tuesday to lead the response to the escalating violence.

[yframe url=’http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hcwUyZ68C0k’]

The violence began late Saturday in London’s northern Tottenham district when a peaceful protest over the police’s shooting of a suspect (Mark Duggan) turned violent, leaving parts of the high street charred and its shops looted. But some have blamed the unrest on unemployment, insensitive policing and frustration across Britain over the government’s austerity budget, which will bring deep cuts to social services and welfare payments.

On Monday evening, the rioting spread to at least four new areas of London.

In the Hackney area of east London, hundreds of youths attacked shops and set fire to cars. Thick smoke billowed from a main street in the Peckham district of south London, where a building was set ablaze along with a bus — which was not carrying passengers. Lines of cars were torched in nearby Lewisham and a building in Croydon, while police advised stores to close early in dozens of other neighborhoods.

“There is significant disorder breaking out in a number of our communities across London,” Tim Godwin, the acting London police commissioner said in response to the spiraling violence — amid some demands for police to deploy water cannons to scatter the rioters.

Godwin urged communities to help clear the streets of people, and called on families to contact their children and ensure that they were not involved in the chaos.

Home Secretary Theresa May, the Cabinet minister responsible for policing, and London Mayor Boris Johnson also cut short summer vacations in an attempt to deal with the crisis — while police confirmed they had made more than 200 arrests in London.

The rioting followed the fatal police shooting of Mark Duggan, a 29-year-old father of four, who was gunned down in disputed circumstances Thursday in Tottenham.

Many residents claimed that the looting was the work of greedy youths, aided by instant communication through SMS texts and instant messaging.

“It’s nothing to do with the man who was shot, is it?” said 37-year-old Marcia Simmons, who has lived in the diverse and gritty north London neighborhood all her life. “A lot of youths … heard there was a protest and joined in. Others used it as an opportunity to kit themselves out, didn’t they, with shoes and T-shirts and everything.”

Godwin said he had heard “lots of debate about what the various issues are that are making people commit these acts — but what I have seen is pure violence, pure gratuitous violence.”

Tottenham’s main shopping street remained cordoned off Monday, with steam still rising from burned-out buildings, two days after violence broke out when a peaceful demonstration outside Tottenham police station turned ugly as several hundred people threw bottles filled with gasoline at police lines and confronted officers with baseball bats and bars.

Two police cars and a double-decker bus were set alight, stores were looted and several buildings along Tottenham’s main street — five miles (eight kilometers) from the site of the 2012 Olympics — were reduced to smoldering shells.

Police condemned the “copycat criminal” violence that began Saturday night and hit areas including the leafy suburb of Enfield, a few miles (kilometers) further north; Walthamstow in northeast London, where police said 30 youths vandalized and looted shops; and the busy shopping and tourist district at Oxford Circus, where about 50 people damaged property.

Duggan’s partner, Semone Wilson, told Channel 4 News that her fiance was not connected to gang violence and urged police to offer more information about his death. But she said the riots appeared to be no longer linked to the initial protests. “It got out of hand. It’s not connected to this any more. This is out of control,” she said.

[yframe url=’http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=biKJDVSRO8M’]

May said 215 people had been arrested and 27 charged so far, including an 11-year-old boy accused of burglary. About 100 of those arrested were 21 or younger and 35 police officers had been injured in the violence, police said.

In the city of Birmingham, 120 miles (195 kilometers) north of London, police confirmed that officers were dealing with disorder across the city center, where shops were being vandalized.

London police issued an apology Monday over their handling of aspects of Duggan’s death, acknowledging that they had failed to inform his parents — instead dealing with two other family members. “It is clear that there are lessons that can be learned,” the police department said in a statement.

However, the rioting had “changed from a local issue into organized criminality” police deputy assistant commissioner Steve Kavanagh said Monday as he promised a “momentous investigation” to track down the perpetrators.

They were relatively small groups of youths — their heads and faces covered — who used social media such as Twitter, mobile phone text messages and instant messaging on BlackBerry cell phones to organize and keep a step ahead of police. One BlackBerry message Sunday, whose authenticity could not be verified, urged young people from across London to converge on Oxford Circus for “pure terror and havoc & free stuff.”

Once the preserve of businesspeople, BlackBerry handsets are popular with teenagers, thanks to their free, fast instant messaging system. Blackberry’s manufacturer, Research in Motion, said in a statement: “We feel for those impacted by the riots in London. We have engaged with the authorities to assist in any way we can.”

Police said they would be monitoring Twitter feeds and those who incited violence could face arrest.

In the south London neighborhood of Brixton — the scene of riots in the 1980s and 1990s — youths smashed windows, attacked a police car, set fire to garbage bins and stole video games, sportswear and other goods from stores on Sunday night.

Like Brixton, Tottenham is an impoverished area with an ethnically diverse population, a large black community and a history of unrest.

Tottenham was the site of the 1985 Broadwater Farm riots, a series of clashes that led to the fatal stabbing of a police officer and the wounding of nearly 60 others — and underscored tensions between London police and the capital’s black community.

Since then police have made concerted, and fairly successful, efforts to build better relations with London’s ethnic communities. But mistrust still lingers, and the shooting of Duggan — a popular figure in the community — has stirred old animosities.

Few details of Duggan’s death have been released, and in the void rumors have swirled.

Police say Duggan was shot dead when police from Operation Trident — the unit that investigates gun crime in the black community — stopped a cab he was riding in.

The Independent Police Complaints Commission, which is investigating the shooting, said a “non-police firearm” was recovered at the scene, and media reports said a bullet had been found in an officer’s radio.

But the Guardian newspaper reported that the bullet in the radio was police-issue, indicating Duggan may not have fired at the officer.

[yframe url=’http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nI9jlRqLsD4′]

There are signs of rising social tensions in Britain as the government slashes 80 billion pounds ($130 billion) from public spending by 2015 to reduce the huge deficit, swollen after the country spent billions bailing out its foundering banks.

The past year has seen mass protests against the tripling of student tuition fees and cuts to public sector pensions. In November, December and March, small groups broke away from large marches in London to loot. In the most notorious episode, rioters attacked a Rolls-Royce carrying Prince Charles and his wife Camilla to a charity concert.

The full impact of spending cuts has yet to be felt, however, and the unemployment rate is stable — although it highest among youth, especially in areas like Tottenham.

Many locals dismissed socio-economic explanations for the riots.

“We are going to get people blaming the economy and what happened last week but that’s not the real reason this happened,” said Brixton resident Marilyn Moseley, 49. “It’s just an excuse for the young ones to come and rob shops.”

Mayor Johnson condemned the “utterly appalling” destruction. “People have lost their homes, businesses and livelihoods through mindless violence,” he said in a statement.

For civic leaders and Olympic organizers, the violence was an unwelcome reminder of London’s volatility, less than a year before the city hosts the 2012 Games.

The International Olympic Committee said it had confidence in British authorities.

“Security at the Olympic Games is a top priority for the IOC,” spokesman Mark Adams said. “It is, however, directly handled by the local authorities, as they know best what is appropriate and proportionate. We are confident they will do a good job in this domain.”

Images of buildings and vehicles in flames broadcast around the world were poor publicity for the city as it prepares to host the games.

“You can imagine how stretched the police would be if this were to occur during the Olympics,” said Tony Travers, a local government expert at the London School of Economics. “So I think this will create a worry within City Hall and the Home Office.”

New Music: Otis Freestyle – Busta Rhymes & DMX

There’s always one or two that seem to go over…

http://iamboigenius.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/DMX-Busta-Rhymes-610x295.jpg

Ok… It’s mad cliche for a whole bunch of artists to come out and rip a track.  It happens every so often.  There’s always one or two that seem to go over and beyond the bar set by the original.  We’re not here to say who’s the best and who’s garbage…. BUT..  Kanye’s Otis beat has attracted all types.

This one right here though, this one right here is something for the mainstream cats and Hip Hop enthusiasts alike.  Busta Rhymes and DMX teamed up on this one to really do some damage.  What do you think?

[yframe url=’http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LwOJdcAysyI’]

Ha… that was just the teaser.  Here’s the track.

R.A. The Rugged Man: How Nas Made His 1st Hit Pop Record

Nas was Coming off ILLMATIC – one of the most critically…

http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41QskEpQ5FL.jpg

Nas was Coming off ILLMATIC – one of the most critically acclaimed albums in the history of music – but as loved as it was by the heads it still didnt produce the kind of sales Sony wanted and struggled to even sell Gold.

NAS needed a pop record for SONY to promote his next album properly, IT WAS WRITTEN had some incredible street joints like the Havoc produced ‘LIVE NIGGA RAP’ or the Premo joint ‘I GAVE YOU POWER’, but SONY and NAS wanted a hit. He tried on ILLMATIC wth ‘IT AINT HARD TO TELL’ by using the Michael Jackson Human Nature sample – but that Large Proffessor produced joint was still too street for ordinary pop radio.

Here’s how he did it:
by 1995 Puff Daddy figured out if you take something that already was a hit the average listener responds faster cuz they’re already familiar with the melody. Puff didnt invent it, they been doing it since the beginning of HipHop and Shit, MC Hammer dominated the pop charts by sampling Rick James and Prince‘s ‘When Doves Cry’ while Puff was still just an event organizer.

But Puffy helped take it to the next level and made it a known formula that many would follow. It was kind of the opposite of digging in the crates, instead of trying to find the most clever way to sample something that nobody else used, it was more like turn the radio on and sample the most famous shit that everybody knows that already gets played a lot and then make your own song out if it.

The Trackmasters were an underground HipHop production team that produced records for Big Daddy Kane, Kool G Rap, Chubb Rock and a young teenager out of Long Island named um… R.A. the Rugged Man but by 1995 they got in the Puffy groove, and began making hit after hit with the successful ‘sample something famous’ formula.

So here’s how NAS made his first bonafide hit:

Step One: Nas hooked up with the Trackmasters. In 1996 we already knew lyrically NAS is going to kill whatever they put him on

at this point in his career. So NAS and Trackmasterrs found the perfect famous sample that everybody knew, it was Whodini‘s song ‘Friends’ off Whodini’s Platinum selling album Escape, ‘Friends’ was one of the most famous HipHop joints of the 1980′s.

[yframe url=’http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vxni-FM-UVA’]

O.k. so rapping over that should be familiar enough and the public should pick up on it and Nas should get that hit he’s looking for right? Probably. but we gotta make sure. Fuck it. if Rapping over a beat that was already a hit wasnt enough…

Step Two: Now they need a hook, a chorus the world would sing. well, Let’s write one. Wait. No. Even better Let’s use a chorus from a very famous Kurtis Blow song. Now not only will the people love the Whodini Friends beat we’ll also use the chorus “If I Ruled the world” by one of the most commercial pioneers of HipHop – Kurtis Blow. We cant miss.

[yframe url=’http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xq-jANkqpQo’]

…Alright Popular Whodini Beat and popular Kurtis Blow chorus both jacked on the same song all along with NAS rapping over it, we definitely have a hit right? Well we gotta make sure. What else could we do to guarantee it? I know….

Step Three: Let’s get LAUREN HILL. The most popular female vocalist on the planet… and we’ll get her to sing the popular Kurtis Blow chorus over the popular Whodini beat. It’s basically an impossibility that this song wont BE popular.

[yframe url=’http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D2vv_lmeP8E’]

…not to mention during a vocal bridge (2:32 into the song) Lauren Hill decides to throw in another popular chorus by singing “Walk Right Upto the Sun” by The Delfonics..

Results: ‘IT WAS WRITTEN’ became the best selling album in Nas’s entire career debuting number 1 on the billboard charts and selling over 3 million copies. The song got nominated for Grammy’s and became a Top 10 billboard pop hit. The formula was a success. Mission Accomplished

To make shit even worse tho the nigga Kanye recently said “What Beyonce is to R&B…Big Sean can be to rap.” That is a quote son. In reality this nigga aint got a original bone in his body so he aint gon ever be the Beyonce of rap….but how his own boss comparin him to broads yo? Yeah yeah I kno niggas heard sons supa dupa shit n ran wit it…………………. baton. But other niggas was doin that shit when Medium Sean was still a fetus anyways yo. Go ask Sean Price. Either way tho….it aint like I hate this nigga. But he need to stop the diva shit n all the talk bout wantin to be famous n jus make some decent music or some shit nahmean.

8. Kanye West
Now I got nothin but love for the nigga Yeezy nahmean. I jus wanna make that shit very clear yo. Son is a genius n he a muthafuckin animal when he get in the studio namsayin. That nigga will bite the head off a dove when he in the booth son. Son aint really the most lyrical nigga on earth like that…but he got a lot of heart n charisma namsayin. Nevermind what that nigga do when he behind the boards son….I aint even gotta tell you he gets busy g. I love this niggas music son. BUT this muthafucka done put on womens garments one too many times to not get called out for it son. This niggas drivin his gender mobile in the middle of the freeway wit no regards for which way the traffic is goin AT ALL b. This nigga aint jus gon be rockin the entire Chanel spring collection n not catch no flack for that shit nahmean. The nigga dont only throw on a couple questionable accessories here n there tho…he actually dresses straight up in shit that was designed for broads like he jus dont give a fuck namsayin. I cant condone that shit son. I been known to rock some elegant shit from time to time too son but this nigga done put the flame back in flamboyant yo. That shit aint even unisex my nigga. Cmon son. Crossdressin aint fly son. Fuck is you doin Ye?
7. J. Cole
Now before all yall Cole stans who been lookin past this nigga’s boring ass songs for years start cryin over this shit like you in a Trey Songz video….hear me out yo. I kno the nigga can spit. I kno he got a couple dope production wins under his belt too. But despite all that….its like this niggas been readin from Memphis Bleek’s book on ‘100 Ways To Fail Even When Ya Mentor Is The Biggest Nigga In Hip Hop’ all this time son. Also why this nigga always gotta have a facial expression lookin like somebody jus stole his bike n shit? Is this nigga capable of a genuine moment of happiness yo? I dont think so son. This niggas own shadow gets depressed from hangin round his bitter ass. But when he do try n make some party type shit for the broads that shit jus ends up soundin unnatural as fuck anyway. For example the niggas got absolutely no clue what he spose to be doin on shit like Work Out. Son was like….”Uhhh…bitches love old Paula Abdul shit…Imma jus sing some old Paula Abdul shit rite here…” n lost his composure all over that shit yo. Lets jus accept the fact that the nigga is too emotionally delicate to pull this shit off. Son aint the second comin of Nas like niggas was hypin him up to be. Nas was on like 4 joints before he dropped. his first album.  2 of those shits ended up on Illmatic. Illmatic had 10 tracks. 1 a those tracks was a intro. You see where Im goin wit this? This nigga got like 40 to 50 joints out n his label still aint NOWHERE ready to drop a album based off what he givin em. I wanna see this nigga win but its lookin like he need to call his next mixtape False Alarm. Tone feels ya pain Jigga.
6. Lil Wayne
I aint never really had no problems wit Weezy namsayin. But son is forcin niggas hands yo. We see pictures of son french kissin Baby….niggas pardon that. He allows Nicki Minaj to release music n hop on remixes 5 times a day for the last 2 years…niggas pardon that. He allows wack ass Gudda Gudda to continue to eat….niggas pardon that. Drake…………we pardoned that. He even puts out a bullshit ass “rock” album…..n niggas pardoned that too. But when that nigga set foot in the booth to croon a ballad called “How To Love”….n expected niggas to really not take offense to the shit he was doin….ayo Wayne we got problems now son. Somebody needs to go stomp the braids off this niggas head yesterday son. This shit is NOT okay yo. How you gon jus out-soft that nigga Drizzy anyway? I thought yalls was family nahmean. You kno damm well thats ya boys lane. But you even took it further than him. I mean that nigga Aubrey got his own set of feminine tendencies to cope wit but he aint never sat down n sang a whole fruity ass love ballad over some Wyclef bathin in the waters of his idols type guitar chords n shit son. You really went too far nigga. Son you was a animal back in like ’04 to ’07.  Bring back that nigga or some shit son.

5. Soulja Boy
Aka the 2011 Mr Bojangles. This nigga also deserves recognition as the coon of the decade namsayin. I dont even kno how muthafuckas listen to this niggas music….nevermind callin that shit hip hop. If it was 1930 this nigga would be rockin a necklace made of chicken legs n pigs feet n be tap dancin on watermelons for a livin. Anyways…sons music is only technically hip hop….like drinkin a beer wit a straw n a umbrella in the bottle is technically drinkin a beer namsayin. Hidin behind 50 Cent wont protect you from ya own bitchassness tho son. This nigga been germinatin in the garden of wackness for a hot minute now. This nigga done splashed hisself wit enough water from the fountain of coonery to last 12 lifetimes. Stop givin this nigga a pass jus cos he young. Muthafuckin Run DMC was around this niggas age when they made King Of Rock yo. LL Cool J was on his first comeback when he was this niggas age yo. NWA made Fuck The Police when they was this niggas age son. You cant hide behind youth forever you clown ass muthafucka. If I see you Imma smack the slaves outta you nigga. Its open season on you son.

4. Bow wow
This nigga rite here is a human bellybutton son. The only form of touch this nigga is capable of is a caress namsayin. Fuck outta here wit the fake Nino Brown shit too you shrimp cocktail ass nigga. This little muthafucka jus refuses to let his career die wit some honor or dignity nahmean. Word is bond this nigga is his own worst enemy too yo. The last time anybody took this nigga serious Lil Kim was still mostly made of human body parts son. Callin this nigga a clown would be givin him too much credit nahmean. If I see the nigga Imma slap his head n torso off his legs. Word is bond. Ayo Bow Wow you better stay ya bitch ass out the gods way son. If I see you Imma throw all 80 pounds of you as far as I can off the top of a buildin n then run down the stairs n hop in my whip n chase you as you flyin across the sky n hit you wit my car jus as you bout to land n then smash the whip into a brick wall son. You been warned son.
3. Tyga
This nigga looks like a transgender Vietnamese prostitute that got abducted by aliens n was cloned but never really finished the process of turnin hisself  into a actual human n shit so he came out lookin like he do…but he still part alien n only kinda human lookin now namsayin. Or some shit like that. Son looks like Wiz Khalifa n Dennis Rodman’s love child or some shit son. But that aint even the problem wit this nigga g. This niggas music sounds like shit you hear when you see a geisha twirlin ribbons in the air n shit namsayin. To top it all off the nigga be lookin more suspect than two niggas sharin a hot dog from opposite sides n meetin in the middle nahmean. Am I the only one thats seein this shit? Son looks like a fuckin lesbian yo. The nigga probably marinates hisself in lotion for hours when he gets home son. Why is this nigga even here yo?
2. Yung Berg
Callin this nigga a failure is not givin him enough credit namsayin. Straight up. Technically this nigga has already mastered failure n moved on to the level that comes after failin tho. Son has evolved past bein a regular failin ass nigga. This nigga has developed his own science when it comes to that shit….its “quantum failure” nahmean. This nigga can fail without even bein awake yo. Son can fail in a dream n bring that shit back wit him to his conscious state namsayin. The nigga can inception fail his way thru life. The nigga can find the fail buried 4 levels deeper under the failure that you actually see. The nigga can fail about 78 times per heartbeat g. In fact by the time you finish readin this sentence the nigga will have failed approximately 468 times namsayin. This nigga is usin methods of failure that niggas aint even seen since the ancient Mayans n Egyptians was on earth still yo. This nigga is usin approaches to failin that brought upon the destructions of entire ancient civilizations son. Think its a game yo? This nigga takes his failure very fuckin seriously son. He dont want no failures happenin unless he involved. No chains snatched…no faces smacked…no nothin. A nigga falls off his bike in the park….he wants IN.

1. The many sides of Drake
This is a conflicted nigga rite here. If this aint a nigga wit a identity crisis I dont kno what is namsayin. First you got the Drake thats like the Taio Cruz of hip hop. The nigga got the most bitchmade voice on earth so its not like it takes son much effort to go FAM (Feminine As a Muthafucka) on a track. But then you look again n the niggas hollerin soo woo n twistin his fingers in all sortsa stupid ways while he takin a picture wit Jeezy. Then you hear the nigga promisin to wife any broad that glances in his general direction in a song. Then theres Drake who dont give a fuck bout a bitch or a hoe. Then theres Drake who will snuggle up in a broads lap n fall asleep. We all kno who the real Drake is but son wants to have his cupcake n eat it too namsayin. First off this nigga had approximately zero male role models in his household to look up to while he was growin up. So it aint came as no surprise to his moms when son had a Jack Sparrow walk n stuck his pinky out when he held his teacups. Son  probably weighs about 190 or 200…n at least 50 of those pounds gotta be due to female hormones alone yo. But aint nobody mad at the nigga for all that effeminate shit. That cornball shit aint the facade. Its the fake ass shit that niggas cant look past namsayin. Ayo son…will.i.am. is a corny nigga too. That nigga Travie McCoy a corny nigga. Even Will Smith is a corny nigga. But those dudes stay in they own lane. They jus some pop niggas. So nobody got problems wit em. Even Nelly accepted that he was better off livin his life as a pop nigga n stopped talkin bout street sweepers n blowin weed in his hooks namsayin. But them dudes dont represent US as a culture like that. If this nigga wanna step up n be the face of hip hop n talk bout how he gon follow in the footsteps of niggas like Jay-Z then he better rep the culture correctly. Otherwise he need to take his Febreze-garglin, B-throwin, hoe-savin, bubblegum R&B ass home son. That bein said….
THE FIRST INDUCTEE INTO THE SOFT NIGGA HALL OF FAME IS……….

 AUBREY DRAKE GRAHAM

Congrats to that nigga. He earned it namsayin. Before I wrap this shit up tho I jus wanna say that these little niggas need to stop talkin nonstop bout makin it someday n becomin successful n bein famous n all that nahmean. Niggas thats true to they hearts bout what they do jus make they art however they wanna make it son. The fame n all that is jus the benefits that come along wit stayin true to yaself. Eybody that raps wanna be famous n get money yo. Its been that way since Sugar Hill son. But niggas like Big Sean n that nigga J. Cole followed in the footsteps of that diva nigga Drake n made that shit the subject of half they songs yo. Cmon son. Niggas dont need to hear bout all that bitterness n that “Im bout to get on” shit on half the joints you makin n shit nahmean. Smarten up little niggas.

Rap Review: Apathy – Honkey Kong

It’s probably a stretch to claim that Connecticut…

It’s probably a stretch to claim that Connecticut rap kingpin Chad Bromley b/k/a Apathy was inspired by Andrew Matson’s review from 2006, but the title of his latest album does parallel something Matson said to describe the man nicely: “He’s not an abstract rapper, form or content-wise, but offers technically flawless verses consistently delivered with the force of a guy who knows he’s the shit. He’s a mic ripper, a savage, a beast, an unstoppable force.”

Hmm. A savage, a beast, AND an unstoppable force? That certainly sounds “Honkey Kong,” matched on the album cover by a ferocious white gorilla that can only be described as Snowflake on a steroid bender. Actually the title matches two different pop culture concepts – the famous King Kong of motion picture fame, and the video game Donkey Kong, which arguably was inspired by that famous filmic icon (though the court system ultimately ruled Nintendo did not owe the owners of the King Kong rights a single dime). On the one hand the implication is that Apathy is a ferocious foe who will take your girl while simultaneously taking the rap game to new heights. On the other hand one can feel Ap’ is an exploited ape, sold to a public which fears him, while his own feelings are misunderstood or ignored. Depending on his mood Apathy is happy to portray either side of this divide, using the opening title track to showcase his unbridled rage:
